What is 10:10?
The idea is simple! We want co-operative businesses, members, colleagues, schools, teachers, pupils- in fact all co-operators to sign up to attempt to reduce their emissions by 10% during 2010. This is important! Because as necessary as talking about targets for 2020 is, the earlier we start to make reductions the better. So, let's start now!
10:10 was launched in the UK by the team behind the film the Age of Stupid and has so far received huge media coverage and endorsement. Co-operatives Europe as a founding member of the campaign will bid to take the campaign further afield and gain co-operative support across Europe.
The success of the campaign will depend on getting everyone in the co-operative movement involved. We want people to sign up to 10:10 here as part of ACT! When you join ACT! and sign up to 10:10 you will have access to a huge network of ideas and materials on how to cut emissions, from successful case studies to education packs that include the film the "Age of Stupid" and accompanying lesson plans for schools. We will give you plenty of ideas on how to cut your emissions and save money whilst saving the planet at www.1010.coop.
Help to show the world what the co-operative movement is doing to fight the climate threat. Your 10:10 pledge will automatically be added to the soon to be global 10:10 campaign that spans different business models, organisations and schools.
